For The Press - A Project Summary

Sep
20

To my surprise, Patrick was still up for our meeting with Tony about storyboards today. I have no idea how he managed to muster the energy after the past few days. I certainly couldn’t have done it. I guess he’s in need of some distraction.

He was quiet for most of the meeting at Fiddler’s. Ryan and I chatted with Tony for a bit as I went through his portfolio. I showed Patrick a few renderings that looked promising as I came across them.

I explained what we’re looking for from Tony. We want to try to accomplish a “loose” look in the boards. Very contrasty with more “implied” forms as opposed to clearly defined details. Lots of shadow and darkness to convey the brooding tone of the project.

Tony seemed pretty confident that he could deliver on those specs. Our one concern is time. Tony’s pretty busy and has quite a few constraints. We’re going to get together on Thursday and try a few boards just to see how long each render takes. We’ll have a better idea then on whether or not he’s going to have the necessary availability. It’s always tough to ask people to give up valuable personal time when you’re not offering any compensation. He seems enthusiastic though.

Now, THIS is the Tony I thought it was, right?

Wow, interesting to hear how things came together.

I still feel horrid about what’s happened to Patrick :(

Wait, now I’m confused…The Tony mentioned in this post is the same Tony mentioned in Patrick’s posts about storyboarding. This Tony is, again, not Tony Fryman. Nek, I’m lost. :)

My gawd o-O

I’m so terribly confused with this site.

Fryman comes into the scene later, so right now we’ve got another Tony who’s doing storyboard artistry.

Maybe you guys could add a section to the site. “Staff.” List all of the people who are working with you now, what they do, and what’s been happening.

Would be incredibly convenient.

At present the list is as follows:
1. Rand Miller
2. Tony Fryman
Everyone else has either finished their stint or is waiting in the wings for the next phase. :)

Well that’s a pretty impressive staff list, right there. XD

So then, that works :D
