To this day, my step-son still questions me as to why I was kissing a guy. Thank you ever so much for putting my in that quandary Adrian. It is very much appreciated.

As to how I answer it, I turn that one over to mom, Sarah.

(Wait I forgot)
What are you doing to poor Ryan!? He does not deserve to be treated like that! Can you see him standing there innocent and oblivious to what is to come? And the laughter following it, oh my.. :(

Yes Erik, A'gaeris totally is the villain! When Veovis stumbled A'gaeris took his chance and manipulated him into thinking everything was Anna's fault. He's one of those persons that manages to point in everyone else's direction instead of his own and make it sound just, Veovis had no chance. Who knows what would've happened if A'gaeris did NOT contact Veovis because boy did he speed things up or what? I wonder what made him so angry in the first place. He was expelled from the guild of writers and even though I can understand that he was disappointed and upset that he lost so much in life, I can't understand why he wanted everyone to go into oblivion (with the aid of an honoured member of the guild of writers. Coincidence? I think not!) And Veovis, poor boy so easily played as he's torn between the opinions of his father, himself and to some extent Aitrus. I mean the way he once trusted and respected Aitrus there must've be some small part of him that still wanted to believe that Aitrus was right, no? (Hehe I think the Veovis fanclub is up and running again)
Anyway, you should have a forum or something. ;)

This is great! It really is!

It's very good that you expand on those themes which were only hinted at in the books. Quite some people who didn't really care for the D'ni story as the fans do thought the novels weren't that well written. With introducing these themes to the movies, I think you'll certainly satisfy the non-fans as well, and you'll enrich the story, or perhaps I should say, complete the story.
Veovis is a tragic hero indeed. I always felt he was the victim, and that A'gaeris was the real villain, though it's always Veovis who seems to be mentioned in the history books. (Of course, you can't ignore the genocide... but Veovis was looked down upon, exiled and imprisoned for no good reason.)
I also thought while reading the book that Veovis secretly was in love with Anna. It's great that you take that further. It will make the story much better I think.

Whoa. Keep up the tension and depth of Veovis that you'll be exploring, and I might become as interested in him as I am with the Brothers.

That's what I'm liking about this film: You are focusing on the characters' motivations and objectives even more than the novel did and not just "how cool the Ages look dude".

The glee is appreciated. There does not always need to be razor sharp points made - support in any form is needed and keeps the two of us going. Ryuu, I think you, Adrian and I are in the same corner. Thanks for the words.

and he begins to desire young Anna for himself

Please, please pardon me whilst I fangirl here in the corner in absolute glee. Goodness, between this and the concept art I think you've managed to make my day. I am so, so very glad that I am not the only person who noticed that possible tension in the book.

Just... everything here, I agree with all of it and you people make me SO happy with this treatment. Veovis IS a tragic hero, and he IS the star of the show in my opinion - he has such depth of character, he changes so much and it's beautiful and tragic and wow. Wow. It saddens me, somewhat, that people only wish to hear of Atrus and his sons - no, that story isn't over (to me, becuase I feel that the reasons for Sirrus and Achenar's fall from grace is a point that is NOT well explored in the games. How do two such twisted children come from such noble parents? ), but Veovis' story is, I feel, even more worthy of being told. He's such a lovely character indeed, and I'm glad that this isn't just myself and my preference for volatile, slightly villainous pretty men.

If there exist McInVanderisms, I will defend them as vehemently as I've defended supposed Wingrovisms. I only hope that the fans do not dismiss you for this treatment, I just... heeeeeee

Must... regain... coherency... oh man. So much I could say, so very much, and I feel as if I'm not even making POINTS here, just expressing absolute glee.

Deep themes brooding here. Guys, I'm thoroughly impressed. You've taken subtle themes and turned them into something above and beyond.

Needless to say, everyone will be shocked by this movie's depth and strength.

Way to go guys!
