The decision to send Cyan the presentation has advanced the schedule on quite few things that we thought we were going to have a lot more time to prepare.
We’ve always felt like presentation is an incredibly important aspect to the success of any venture. Making an impression with visual refinement is of the utmost. With that in mind, our plan has always been to package the trailer in a unique container. Something that would be appropriate to the theme of Myst. Quite a while back, we had decided that a faux-book clamshell box would be perfect. We’d have something custom made and then contact a courier service to hand deliver it directly to Cyan’s office. This had always been the plan. Of course, in the hurry and panic of the changed plans, this idea had fallen out of mind until just the other day.
I spent a night doing some research on book binders, trying to find someone that could create what we were hoping for, and do it within the time-frame we’re working in. I found The Currier Bindery and was pretty impressed. A phone call yesterday confirmed that they would be able to deliver in three weeks. The owner, Jim, was very helpful and specific in our discussion. I think he has a solid idea of what we’re looking for. The real issue was price… He quoted me at $300.00. This isn’t at all an outrageous price, but it is difficult for us. We never seem to have money when we really need it. The petty cash account is just about drained.
Donations became our saving grace yesterday. I realized that the only way we were going to pull the cash together in the allotted time would be to beg everyone we knew for help. I was pleasantly surprised to find all of our funds in order after less than two hours. Thank God for family and friends
I ordered the box today. Can’t wait to see it.
Calling courier services tomorrow.

Ooooh! Are we gonna see what the final result was?
