Character concepts flood into my head the moment I start pedaling... usually so I have to stop immediately and write. Gods, I wish there was some way I could help. I completely understand what you're going through, as an aspiring writer myself... especially the pain of the possibility of cutting it. Possibly there will be some other way you can present the information as well. Who knows? Best of luck; and may the Maker guide your hand. Pretend you have a deadline of 12 pm that the scene HAS to be done, and just start writing SOMETHING. If you are sufficiently delirious from sleep deprevation, with all the details of the scene going over and over in your head, you'd be amazed the amount of creativity that can come about. At least ... that's how it worked with me when I had a term paper to write in college that I hadn't even touched until the day before. I wouldn't have a clue what I'd written 24 hours later, but it was always good enough to get an A.
