There are scenes that Adrian’s written that I’m still not permitted to see. He’s very serious about making sure it’s up to its best before he shares.

Any time you get writer’s block, just play one of the best of the myst games - Riven, Exile or Revelation. Rewatch the movie scenes and listen to the ambient music. Imagine yourself as the player immersed in the diabolical drama between Atrus, his sons, and Yeesha. There is tons of drama there. Maybe some flashbacks to Gehn, the Power mad Father as the dictator of many worlds. The story can be far more powerful than in the games.

Basic elements: Greed, Revenge, Hope for the future, restoration of a family and ancient empire. How delicate worlds get ruined by power hungry greedy rulers like Gehn, and the two brothers. Worlds get plundered, innocent people get hurt, victims like Saheedro are bent on revenge for atrocities.

By the way, recasting Brad Dourif as Saheedro would be awesome…. he was fantastic in that role! Probably the best role he’s played since the psychotic Metant Piter in the 1984 version of Dune. A role featuring Rand or Robyn Miller would be interesting, even if they were only cameo appearances.
