I think at this point we should focus less on the privilege of being a part of something so wonderful and maybe, instead, ask ourselves and Patrick and Adrian how we can help spread the word. The one thing I know about film-making is that it's not WHAT you know, but WHO you know. Time and time again I have spoken with industry professionals, all of whom relay two very important points. The first of which is to "begin before you're ready", otherwise, nothing will happen. It is during this time that you will feel the most afraid and the most exciting. Not unlike the first time you placed your hand onto the Myst Island linking page and found yourself tumbling down the proverbial rabbit hole. Second thing they always emphasize in the film-making world is networking. Look at what is being done with Star Wars fan films these days. People are volunteering services AROUND THE GLOBE to help and support a community of devoted artists and fans. You can send someone in China your raw footage, via an FTP server or in the mail, and they do the effects work for you and then send it back. It's unbelievable what can be done these days in the spirit of collaboration. The more people this gets to, the better chance there is of this movie being made and made well. Who knows, there may be a true believer out there with the interest, integrity and means to help see this project to fruition. I myself am more than willing to donate any resources I may have at my disposal to either contribute directly or indirectly to the making of this film. Cheers!
