For The Press - A Project Summary

Mar
11

Well, it’s 4:28 AM and I’m still awake.  A horrible migraine rendered me completely useless for most of the day.  It was an odd one.  I don’t usually have any visual symptoms aside from my left eye wanting to be closed from the pain, but this time I had a strange waviness to my vision.  It was kind of like a very subtle heat distortion.  Trippy.

I’m starting to feel better, but all of the sleep this afternoon to try to rid myself of the headache has led to a sleepless night.  I suppose I’ll attempt to get some writing done.  Not sure how much energy I’ll have to concentrate, but no rest for the wicked, I suppose.

Funny thing, that. I woke up 20 min after you posted (4:55 a.m.) in order to write. No rest for our lot, indeed.

You guys need to stop getting sick! If it’s not trippy migraines it’s a splitting toothache or a lungful of coffee or something else that makes me worry whether you’re going to survive until after this is all finished.

Feel better! Try to get some rest if it seems like you’re not getting any work done, better to be refreshed and ready to tackle it later on.

Ah damn, that… writing… stuff… I should get to mine.

Tea. Lots of tea; but stay away from caffinated stuff. I’d suggest ginkgo, actually, if you haven’t had anything else lately that thins the blood (acts like a much weaker willow bark, if I’m remembering right. -supposedly- it’s good for memory retention, too )

Insomniacs unite! Meetings will be Tuesdays at 4:30 AM, location TBA.
Seriously, get some sleep. I’ve been battling insomnia all semester, and it’s killing me, so I know what you’re feeling.

No one mourns the wicked :)

But seriously, insomnia has been driving me crazy. I just took a 15 hour flight Tunis-Tripoli-Dubai-Beijing and so I’m completely jetlagged and I have to write two resolutions for the MUN. I feel sorry for you (just remember you’re working for the greater good)

Just a note about the waviness of your vision:

I’ve experienced it a few times, it’s real trippy!

Your headaches sound sort of like cluster headaches (I’m a sufferer). Make sure you get correctly diagnosed as CH’s are not the same as a migraine. I hope you feel better soon!
