Well, some major upgrades hit the site tonight just in time for fun stuff in the coming weeks. Needed to clean a few things up and prep the site with place holders for future content. I’m happy with the changes. Allow me to rant about them a bit:
1. After four hours of WordPress-hacking fun, I finally got a What’s New page up and running. This is for all of you who don’t follow the RSS release feed and asked for an alternative (including my sister, my girlfriend, Tira in Texas, my baby momma, random people on the street, baby seals, and the fans) to see what’s been recently posted (but pre-dated) without having to go through the archives.
(Note: I hate the rewrite system in WordPress. It’s fugly. It took a long time to track down why one single variable wasn’t being passed. And this, all on the heels of 2.5 being released — it’ll be a while before I upgrade because this installation is complete customized.)
2. I’ve cleaned up the left side navigation just to give some attention to important bullets. You’ll see the new ‘What’s New’ link up there (see above) as well as some new links.
3. It’ll now be easy to find media posted through the site. This includes downloads, images, videos. Check the links on the left.
4. Some additional information has been pushed down the page to a new resource area. This section will continue to expand as we add new press references, Myst-related resources, etc.
Carla just got off her shift and we’re both hungry. Time to eat Papa John’s. (I had pizza here waiting for her — aren’t I the best?!)
