After much delay, we finally hooked up with the reporter from S.B. Tribune on Tuesday. It’s been weeks in the coming. Some of you may remember our frustration with being stood up when we called at our scheduled time only to find that the reporter wasn’t in the office. We were given the more than adequate consolation prize of an interview with Tom Sowa that same day, and were content with the notion that the S.B.T. interview just wasn’t gonna happen. Turns out, he gave us a ring last week and wanted to reconnect.

It was an incredibly long interview. It went on for nearly an hour. We were pleased, however, to discover that the guy had done his research. He had combed the site pretty thoroughly and knew what we were all about. Honestly, this is more than I expected from the local paper. Kudos to Jeremy at the S.B.T.

He was interested in having a picture to run with the story, so we scheduled a time to hook up at the paper’s studio on Wednesday to do a photo-shoot. That went quickly and well. If all goes according to plan, the article will appear in this Sunday’s edition. There will also be an online version. We’ll post a link when it’s up.

I think we’re both strangely jittery about this particular article. It will be geared toward locals. There’s something safe about not personally knowing the people reading about you. That will not be the case here. It will be interesting to see how this works out.
