For The Press - A Project Summary

Jul
03

Despite our best efforts, we weren’t able to work anything out for Mysterium this year.  We had hoped to gain the support and collaboration from a local theatre in Boston, utilizing their resident acting company to organize a staged reading of selected scenes from the script.  Unfortunately, there are very few theatres in Boston with a resident company and those that did were either previously committed to other shows or were simply not interested.

It has been many, many weeks of emails and phone calls, but ultimately it just didn’t work out…

:(

Don’t worry guys, just wasn’t possible this time around. I couldn’t make it to Mysterium this year, because of conflicting events, and I feel horrible. I only met CAGrayWolf once and yet he was a great guy. I’ll miss paying homage to him and all of his work, and it depresses me.

But I’ve made an oath to be there next year, no matter what.

So lighten your hearts and relax a bit, we love you anyway :)

~ Hugs and luv, Nek’rahm

Might not be what you were looking for, but perhaps you could have some fans act it out? There have to be some actors going to Mysterium and even if there aren’t, it would still be fun :)

It shall be done in a Shakespearean style, what’s wrong with that?

We’ll miss you guys! Maybe next year.

Most likely 2010. The script is still being written.

@Stayler:

Herm… that was one way to be blunt…

The project’s been going on for four years and this hasn’t hit Hollywood yet, so don’t bet on it coming anytime soon ;)

I like Frisky’s suggestion. Sure, we fans aren’t members of the SAG, but we do know how to read. Mostly.

And did we mention that we really like all things Myst?

Sorry to hear you guys can’t make it.. We were definitely looking forward to having you.

Hi,

Did you ever consider having a reading here in NYC, I know a ton of actors that would read for you here! Oh, and one other thing…I think you should stay away from calling the chick a “surface dweller”, that’s too cliche for these type films. The D’ni have names for everything in their own language, so why not just use a word from there ;) Just a thought.
