It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to post.  Busy times.  Just so you all know, if you’re hoping for a post from Patrick anytime in the near future, you can forget it.  He’s swamped with F.T.P. stuff and work.  He misses you all terribly.  He does read the site, but he just doesn’t have to time to sit down and bang out a post.

I’ve been working away at the script – trying desperately to meet the deadline for the end of this month.  I had to pull out of a camping trip this weekend to make more time for writing.  Interspersed with that, I have been scrambling around to try to earn a little extra money to feed myself (extra shifts at work + landscaping freelance) and helping Patrick to pre-viz F.T.P.

He got the HVX200 a few weeks ago, and I’m in love.  We’ve given up on 3D animatics for pre-viz because it simply consumes too much time to build our scenes.  It’s much easier to take this fantastic little camera to our locations and shoot approximated versions of our shots.  We spent last night at my apartment “sketching” out four scenes.  Patrick is editing them together as I write this.  We’ll see how they cut.
