Ok make the moive already I can’t stand this… just watched the trailer again . gah … reminds me of when I first found The Book of Ti’ana accidentally in the store not even knowing there was a book on MYST…. which was one of my favorite games …. read it …. was astounded then realized it was the second book … not the first but actually worked out better reading the 2nd book first! 
Loving all 3 , started giving away the trilogy of books as gifts to friends to get them into it… then buying the first editions for myself …. arghhh so good I need more MYST … anyone know when the book of Marrim (or if it was called that) will be out? or if Millar is still writing it… or whats goin on with this movie? Maybe its been talked about before but is there any sort of future timeline that they think will be followed and know if it will actually come out ?????

The fifth book was an error. There’s just the planned fourth book which may or may not
go into publication. Thats the Book of Marrim. There is no fifth book, as far as I know
about anyways. Unless Cyan is hiding something from us… Raid them!!!

Regarding the fifth book: The error I was referring to was in my comment. Patrick and I have both heard the same rumors of a fifth book that Nek mentioned. We have no idea whether or not those rumors are true. I know that there is an outline for the fourth book. That’s all I’ve got for ya.

According to Quantum Mechanics, everything that can and will happen does happen in an alternate timeline.

You will pleased to know that we agree on this issue. I think that the LotR trilogy was an amazing accomplishment on many fronts. I have deep respect for the process that went into making those films. Visually, they are astounding. I do feel that the character work leaves much to be desired, though. They certainly have their place as history-making films and I have a profound respect for them, but our hope is to improve on what they have accomplished.

I know that this site is biased, and I am as well, but I am troubled over a choice I need to make. Should I buy the Lord of the Rings, or the Myst trilogy? I have only read The Book of Atrus and fully enjoyed it, like The Hobbit, but Myst has always seemed more real to me. It’s not suspended, just moved back. They ran out of money so it takes a little more time. They’re planning on releasing the tools and setting up servers starting this Spring. However, the update and release process will be somewhat slow due to the lack of a strong workforce.

Actually Tay would be a good idea (in MORE, since it’s a CYAN Age). Not 233 though. It’s Gehn’s Age, is dangerous, and is most likely lost and/or destroyed were the book even to be found.
Tay happens to be populated (as last we know) though.
And doesn’t the Riven Soundtrack or somewhere mention the DRC finding 233rd Age (of course, it is probably just advertising and false information)?
