The “smoking like a chimney” was kind of fun to watch, in my opinion . . . although it was at times mildly disconcerting because when Adrian put the cigarette down the left side of the screen continued to smolder, making it look like his shirt had caught fire. Really nice to see a video from a “change of pace” perspective, though - now we just need to be able to post audio or video responses (or maybe you all have good reason to not grant us that power).

I am a college student living in central Virginia. I’ve been following your production blog for the past year, and at last I am going to leave a comment! I’m not really sure why I didn’t before…
Anyway, I am a huge fan of Myst and I love the idea of a film! I think you guys are awesome! Reading your blogs always adds something different or interesting to my day. Having known several people who have died from lung cancer caused by smoking, I’d say Adrian’s lack of ability to stop smoking for just 24 minutes and 18 seconds is not a good sign. Please finish this movie soon!

For the record, I only smoked two cigarettes during this post. I had one when we started and lit another that went out while I was talking. Most of it burned away in the ashtray. In fact, they both did. So, really, I only smoked about the equivalent of one cigarette during this 25 min. video.

I’m not going to say that smoking is okay or healthy, but really, guys? Gimmie a break. Smokes and caffeine are my only two real vices. I barely drink, I don’t do drugs (aside from the two listed above)…

You know, with as many tangents as you two went off on, I think I got the gist of what you were trying to say. You worried me in the beginning when you talked about hoping that you captured the “essence of the story.” I thought you were subtly telling the fans that it wasn’t going to be the actual story the book told and that it was kinda a hack wannabe with the title slapped on there for marketing. But you showed me my assumption was wrong. I am relieved and excited.
